Ann

Created by Malcolm one year ago
One of my earliest memories of Ann, was the night before Barbara and myself got married. Ann came to my parents house to see me, she knew I would be nervous with regards to the huge undertaking we were about to embark on and came of her own volition to reassure me and asked if I had a message for Barbara she knew that Barbara would be just as nervous.
A very thoughtful thing to do and typical of Ann.
Another memory was years later, one of our last memories. When Ann came to stay with us. we decided to have a ride out and show Ann a bit of Yorkshire. We finished the day with afternoon tea at The Old Schoolhouse at Hebden and came back by way of Greenhow and Brimham to give her some views across Yorkshire. All the way she was amazed by the scenery and how much there was to see. She had not realised how big Yorkshire is, when she first came to Knaresborough as a young girl she had only known the area between Harrogate and Knaresborough..
A truly Grand Day Out.
